Pecan Field Day happening May 11

WEIMAR – Those interested in learning more about pecan trees can register for the 2023 Colorado/Fayette Pecan Field Day, hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Offices of Colorado and Fayette Counties.

The event will be May 11 at the Trefny Pecan Orchard, 1045 Trefny Lane.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The program starts at 9 a.m. and concludes at noon.

Associate Professor and Extension Horticulturist Dr. Larry Stein will be the featured speaker for the program. 2 CEU’s (1 General, 1 IPM), will be offered to private applicators.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating in the orchard.
