COLUMBUS – Residents passing the Colorado County Courthouse on Saturday, April 1 were met with a colorful surprise.

27 Porsche vehicles were parked across from the Courthouse on Spring Street.

Spectator Debbie Damon said she met Hector Martinez, President of the Lone Star Region Porsche Club of America. She said the owners and members were on a whirlwind rural site seeing excursion through the countryside.

“You never know what you are going to see or meet at the courthouse square,” Damon said.

The Lone Star Region Porsche Club serves Porsche Club of America members in South East Texas, including the metropolitan areas of Houston, Galveston, and Beaumont. With approximately 1,800 members, the club said it offers numerous opportunities to meet fellow Porsche owners through tours, autocrosses, driver’s education, concours, and other events.
