Community bank gives back with donations during Christmas

COLUMBUS – The Industry State Bank donated $500 each to three local organizations last month to help out during the Christmas holiday.

COLUMBUS – The Industry State Bank donated $500 each to three local organizations last month to help out during the Christmas holiday.

The organizations selected were the Columbus Food Pantry, 419 Washington St., the First United Methodist Church’s Share Your Christmas Program, 1229 Milam St., and the Boys and Girls Club of Champion Valley’s Shop with a Cop.

“Giving back to the community is one of our biggest goals and values as a community bank,” the bank said in a Facebook post on Dec. 8. “Thank you to (those) who give their time, talents, and monetary gifts to help these organizations make dreams come true.”

The Industry State Bank has been serving the communities

of Austin, Colorado, Fayette, and Washington counties since 1911. The main office is in Industry with branch offices in New Ulm and Columbus.

The Columbus Food Pantry opens the third Friday of each month at the Family Life Center. The Boys and Girls Club of Champion Valley serves Columbus, Schulenburg and Weimar.
