Congratulations to the SAS students that participated in the State PSIA Contest on Saturday, April 12, in San Marcos. The following students placed at the competition: John Fitzgerald (2nd place Oral Interpretation), Greyson Glueck (5th place Oral Interpretation), Natalie Glueck (3rd place Oral Interpretation), Kyle Glueck (3rd place Number Sense), Colson Glueck (6th place/ tie Oral Interpretation), Isabella Lowe (6th place Ready Writing), and Parker Pilat (3rd place Impromptu Speaking).
The Knights of Columbus Council #2791 recently blessed St. Anthony School with a $10,000 donation in support of Catholic education. The KCs are a wonderful group of men that are committed to helping SAS continue its mission of providing a strong academic and religious program to its students. SAS is eternally grateful for their generosity.
The SAS A Soccer team takes on St. Rose Wednesday, April 23 at home starting at 6 p.m. On Monday, April 28, St. Joseph will come to Columbus for a matchup against the Saints at 6pm.
On Thursday, April 24, the 2nd graders will head to the Dinosaur Park in Bastrop for their field trip. On Friday, April 25, the SAS 3K and 4K will visit Blessington Farms in Simonton for some Springtime fun.
This Friday, April 25, SAS will host a Daddy/ Daughter Dance in the SAS Gym from 6 p.m. to 9pm. Last year’s inaugural dance was a huge success, with sweet girls in pretty dresses dancing the night away with their fathers. Between the snacks and giggles, some girls even taught their dads a move or two.
