TCA’S CADET OF THE WEEK

EAGLE LAKE — Texas ChalleNGe Academy (TCA) is proud to recognize Cadet Private First Class Nicholas Nelson as the Cadet of the Week for Week 14 of the Spring 2024-2 cycle. This prestigious recognition highlights Cadet Nelson’s dedication, perseverance, and outstanding leadership within the program. His leadership, determination, and commitment to personal growth set him apart among the cadets currently enrolled in the program. A former student of The Woodlands High School, Cadet Nelson made the decision to volunteer for the program in pursuit of academic credits, a GED, and to take advantage of the academy’s physical fitness component to improve his overall health and well-being. In just 14 weeks, Cadet Nelson has already earned 9.5 credits, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment to growth. While at TCA, Cadet Nelson’s primary goal is to graduate from the academy. When asked about his future plans, he shared his desire to return to high school to obtain his diploma, and from there, he plans to either join the military or pursue a career in welding. Cadet Nelson credits the program for making a significant impact on his life, stating it has helped him become more physically fit, boosted his confidence, and made him more social and self-assured. We commend Cadet Nelson for his dedication and progress, and we look forward to seeing all that he will accomplish
