The Rice Raiders soccer team had a memorable season that saw them enjoy the highs of playoff soccer and now they have 11 players selected to the All-District team.
The cherry on top of all this is the Raiders also had one player selected for an individual award.
Raiders’ goalkeeper Augustus Peacock was named the Goalkeeper of the Year. Watching Peacock this season it comes as no surprise that he was selected for this award.
He always came up big in goal for the Raiders this season he made multiple big saves and was a hug factor in the Raiders making the playoffs. He was aggressive and smart in net and put fear in a lot of attacking players because of how aggressive he was.
The First All-District team saw two Raiders selected and those players were Jael Valles-Serrano and Arian Rico. Both of these players were the focal points of the Raider offense and were also established in leadership roles.
The team leaned on these two heavily throughout the season, they helped keep the team stable through challenging times and kept them focused on the goals they set at the beginning of the year.
On the Second All-District team two more Raiders selected and those were Lawson Floyd and Lance Dingler. These players played a big role in the Raiders improved defense, as the old saying goes, “defense wins Championships” and these two took that to heart.
They took great pride in thwarting any advances made towards their net and did everything in their power to get the ball rolling in the other direction.
Then finally six Raiders were listed as Honorable Mentions for the All-District team for the 2025 season. The six players were Bryan Guerrero, Victor Flores, Joe Luke Morales, Kyler Cadriel, Brandon Ayala and Payton Englebrecht.
All six of these players played various roles for the Raiders this season and never once complained about their workload. They did whatever was asked of them and earned their way to being on the All-District team.
