Potter’s Western Store 60th anniversary party set for May 3 Potter’s Western Store, located in Columbus, will be hosting a 60-year anniversary celebration on Saturday, May 3 in the store’s parking lot.
The party will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. featuring barbeque, beer provided by Hound Song Brewing Company, live music from Darrel Appelt with Randy Rodriguez and western swing music from the Texas Trio.
The Texas Trio will perform from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the performance by Darrel Appelt and Randy Rodriguez to follow suit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will include door prizes from various western brands There will also be surprises at the event, including 60th year anniversary merch available for sale.

CHS murder mystery dinner tickets on sale for April 12 The Columbus High School theatre program will host a murder mystery theatre experience on Saturday, April 12 at 7 p.m.
Tickets will cost $25 and will feature a menu created by CHS culinary students featuring a garden salad, pork tenderloins with mashed potatoes and green beans and strawberry shortcake as a dessert.

Columbus Community Hospital Auxiliary Bake Sale to take place April 15 - 16
The Columbus Community Hospital is set to have a bake sale next Wednesday and Thursday, April 15 and April 16.
The bake sale will be held in the Columbus Community Hospital lobby.
Everybody is welcome and all proceeds will benefit the hospital.
Class of 2025 Baccalaureate Service to take place May 18
A Baccalaureate Service will be held for the class of 2025 on Sunday, May 18, 6:30 p.m. at the Columbus First Church of the Nazarene.
The church, located at 711 Fannin St., will be hosting Columbus area graduating seniors for the service hosted by the Columbus Ministerial Alliance.
Families and friends are invited, seniors are asked to wear their caps and gowns and should be seated by 6:15 p.m.
