Stanzel Family Foundation publishes 35-year report highlighting decades of philanthropy

The Stanzel Family Foundation (SFF) has released its 35-Year report, a comprehensive reflection on the foundation’s impact in education, health, and philanthropy in the Schulenburg and Weimar communities over the years.

Since its founding in 1989 by Joseph and Victor Stanzel, SFF has remained committed to empowering individuals and organizations through scholarships, grants, and community programs—investing more than $20 million locally.

Over the past 35 years, the foundation has awarded 554 scholarships to high school students and professionals, supported 52 local organizations, and funded a range of nonprofit and school-based initiatives—all in service of its mission to foster an educated and healthy community.

“This report is a testament to the vision and generosity of our founders and the many individuals who have contributed to the success of the foundation,” said Cheryl Pekar, SFF CEO. “Our future is shaped by those we serve — we will continue to listen, learn, and work alongside the community to create meaningful, lasting change.”
