The Bernardo Volunteer Fire Department sold out of their famous Chicken Fried Steak dinners, selling nearly 1,200 plates on Sunday, March 30.
The steak dinner raises money for the BVFD through ticket sales, with plates going for $15 each.
“A huge thank you to all who purchased plates and/or donated to our department,” said the BVFD in a Facebook post. “We sold out of almost 1200 plates pretty quickly. Our dinner would not be successful without our talented cooks who always ensure the meal is phenomenal. A big thank you to all who take time to help us each year, we could not do this without our community volunteers, our member families and all of our firefighters.”
The next event hosted by the Bernardo VFD will take place on Sunday, July 20 for their annual picnic.
