Where’s Waldo?
The famous Disney character Waldo happened to be hiding in eight different stores around the square waiting for people to find him. If you found him all eight times, then you could get a ticket for a free one topping ice cream at OST creamery. He only appeared Monday through Friday but, if you got the chance to go you know it was good.
He was very good at hiding but you could still find him easy enough (if you looked hard enough) but he could also be pretty sneaky if he wanted to be. He did in fact appear in an interesting combination of places, like Frontier Rodeo Coffee and Southern Flair, “like, huh.” And OST creamery was amazing in a cup with spectacular on top.
If you have not already you, should really check out OST creamery, they have great ice cream with even better toppings. Also, at Frontier Rodeo Coffee they had free blueberry muffin samples that (in my opinion) were absolutely divine. I think they had something appealing to everyone in every store. The stores were Frontier Rodeo Coffee, Southern Flair, Home Goods, Lola, Silver Barn, etc. There was a lot of fun to be had so I hope you were able to experience this incredible opportunity. It was a lot of fun for adults and children alike. I hope you had a lot of fun looking for that sneaky little Waldo.
Crawfish season
The crawfish are currently in their time of season where they flourish. A lot of people wait all year just to eat crawfish in season (that includes me) because they are best to eat when in season, so it is best to wait until the right time of year. It is still okay to eat year round, but they just do not taste as good as when they are in season but either way, I think crawfish tastes great.
CLA hamburger sale Reminder that the CLEAR Leadership Academy sold hamburger tickets for the big fundraiser. This is the second year, and the feedback last year was that they were excellent. Each burger ticket costs $12 and comes with a bag of chips and a homemade cookie. On the burger already is an unopened cheese packet, lettuce and tomato (you can pick any and all contents off).
On the side there is ketchup, mayo, and mustard packets for you to use if you want. If you do not want a hamburger ticket, please consider donating to CLEAR Leadership Academy. We are doing this to raise money for new computers and books to help our students grow.
