Lady Raiders results from Swamp Relays

The Rice Lady Raiders hosted 20 schools for the Swamp Relays this past Thursday, March 27, at Rice Consolidated High School.

The Lady Raiders are a young group but still found a way to make their presence felt at the Swamp Relays.

In the 100m dash Diamond Fuller was the lone Lady Raider in the race and she finished with a time of 14.07 seconds. This was good enough for 20th place in the race and was .05 seconds away from 15th place.

In the 200m Blessin Adams Hamilton finished with a time of 28.38 seconds to come in 12th place. In 23rd place was Iya Farrow with a time of 29.50 seconds and both girls were just getting started as they ran later on at the meet.

The 400m race saw two Lady Raider finish inside the top 25 runners, the first was Reyna Rogers with a time of one minute and nine seconds to come in 12th place. Two seconds behind Rogers with a time of one minute and 11 seconds was Devany Garcia in 24th place.

Fallan Wied was the only Lady Raider to compete in both the 100m and the 300m hurdles. She finished top five in both races with times of 17.39 seconds in the 100m hurdles to come in 4th place and a time of 51.04 seconds in the 300m for 5th place.

In the relay races the Lady Raiders came on 10th place in the 4x100m, with the team of Rigers, Wied, Taylor Eichelberger and Aleah Conejo clocking a time of 54.31 seconds. In the 4x200m the team of Adams Hamilton, Farrow, Conejo and Beautiful Johnson came in 11th place with a time of one minute and 58 seconds.

The Lady Raiders will be back in action on Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3, when they host the District Meet and will try to beat the times they posted at the Swamp Relays.
