The Weimar Wildcats are well into their season as they have played 12 games already.
With that comes some good stats to give us an indication of how this team is performing this season so far.
It is an indication, not an absolute. Stats are great but there are so much more to teams than just stats and these stats do not define this team. That being said they are really fun to look at so let’s jump right on in.
Looking at pitching the Wildcats have been using a variety of talent on the bump that includes, Huxton Kloesel, Trey Billeck, Drew Montgomery, Logan Kainer, Cullen Schimcek and Collin Morrison.
The main two that are on the bump for the Wildcats so far this season though have been Kloesel with 18 innings pitched and Billeck with 11.2 innings pitched. Kloesel has given up 16 runs on 27 hits while Billeck has given up 13 runs on 21 hits.
Kloesel leads the team in strikeouts with 22, Billeck and Montgomery are tied for second with 10 each then Kainer and Schimcek each have seven to hold the third spot in the team rankings.
Billeck has the least number of batters walked with only one batter walked and Kainer is in second with only two to his name.
Flipping over to the offensive side of things the Wildcats have seven betters that are batting .300 or higher. They also have five batters that have an average of.400 or higher, which is not an easy thing to do.
Billeck leads the team with a .500 batting average, in second is Collin Morrsion with a .429 batting average. Kloesel has a .419 and Ty Rerich and Kainer both have a .400 batting average.
Colin Morrison and Montgomery have posted a .375 and a .304 respectively so this season.
Rerich and Montgomery lead the team with three doubles each, Kainer leads the team with two triples, and everyone is still waiting for the Wildcats to hit their first home run this season.
The Wildcats know they are producing good numbers but have a goal of getting back to the playoffs and making their presence felt on their mind.
The Wildcats will be back on their home field on Tuesday, April 1, when they take on their district rivals, Schulenburg.

Drew Montgomery is tied for second on the team with 10 strikeouts.
