SAS SAINTLY NEWS

Summer Camp fun is coming to SAS. Football, volleyball, basketball and cooking camps are set for June 16-18. Boys and girls in grades 5K through 8th are encouraged to sign up early as space is limited. Online registration and information can be found at bit.ly/2025summercamps.

Spring marks the beginning of a busy field trip season at SAS. Last Thursday, March 20, the SAS 3rd grade visited Sugarland’s Science Museum. Students had lots of fun, and especially loved the Wild Weather exhibit and the Dinosaur Dig Pit. On Friday, March 28, SAS 6th graders will head to the Brenham theater to watch The Chosen.

The Saints ended track season by participating in the St. Philip track meet on Monday, March 17. Nineteen SAS athletes brought back 34 ribbons. SAS 6th grader Will Glueck won 1st place in the long jump and 8th grader Emily Fuller earned 1st place in the 400m run. Up next, softball and soccer.

Saints’ Cheerleader tryouts for the 2025-2026 year were held on Thursday, March 20. Students who earned a spot on the squad are Abigail Wolters (head cheerleader), Abby Fuller, Isabella Lowe, Charley McBride, Isabella Rutiaga, Keaton Watkins, Madeline Decker, Emma Fitzgerald, Natalie Glueck, Harper Kramr, Brynn Pilat, Raelynn Schulte, Nataly Ulloa, Carley Aaron, Taitlyn Beauchamp, Anslee Bussleman, Kate Crosby, Kimber Nelson, Genesis Trujillo, and Maddie Wright. These sweet girls are all ready to show their Saint spirit.

On Tuesday, March 24, SAS students gathered in groups to discuss this month’s character trait respect. A game of “Respect Bingo” had Saints learning different ways one can show respect for others, covering those items on the card and hoping for a win!

2025-26 registration is currently open to parishioners of St. Anthony, St. Roch, or St. Peter or St. Paul. Open registration begins next Monday, March 31, for grades 3K-8th. Stop by the school office for a registration packet or call 979-732-5505 if you have questions or to schedule a tour of the campus.

Upcoming events: 4th grade Class Mass on Thursday, March 27 at 10:30 a.m., IOWA testing March 31 through April 4. SAS welcomes all to attend Children’s Mass on Fridays at 8:15 a.m.
