The Columbus High School golf team traveled to Bellville this past week to compete in their golf invitational as a tune up for district play.
The Lady Cards finished in 2nd place overall while the boys posted some solid scores themselves.
The Lady Cards finished in 2nd place thanks to Katharine Burnett shooting a 92. Right behind her was Thea Schobel who shot a 93.
Mady Garcia, Sydnie Shepard, Madison McRee and Layla Schindler shot a 101, 102, 103 and 111 respectively to help boost the Lady Cards into second place at the Bellville meet.
As for the boys, they were led by Colton Carter and Alec Wilburn who shot an 87. They were followed by Parker Meyer who shot an 89, Logan Rex who shot a 104 and Jack Dudensing who shot a 109.
Columbus will look to build off of this strong outing as they enter the district part of their schedule next week.
