COLORADO COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT

Sheriff ’s Report

SUNDAY, DEC. 22

At approximately 2:15 p.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to the 7000 block of S IH-10 Road, Sealy, for a possible burglary. After further investigation, information was received and determined the theft victim did not wish to pursue charges but damages still occurred to a separate victim’s property. Case is active.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 1000 block of Woodglen Way in Cat Spring, in reference to a verbal disturbance. After further investigation and speaking with both parties, a Criminal Trespass Warning was issued to two subjects. Case cleared.

At approximately 8:19 p.m., deputy Machac was dispatched to the 3000 block of FM 2434 in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, Edgar Conpean, age 42, of Houston, Tx, was arrested for Assault Family Violence Impede Breath - Felony 3, Assault Family Violence Causing Bodily Injury - Misdemeanor “A”, and Public Intoxication - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by adult arrest.

MONDAY, DEC. 23

At approximately 9:02 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to Happy Oaks RV Park, Alleyton, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, information was received and determined it was verbal in nature and the parties were separated on scene. Case information only.

TUESDAY, DEC. 24

At approximately 12:50 p.m., deputy Chapa was dispatched to Columbus Community Hospital in reference to a dog bite that occurred on Greak Road between the 1000 and 1300 block of Sheridan, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case is active.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 25 At approximately 2:48 a.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 2400 block of Hunt Road, Eagle Lake, in reference to a structure fire. After further investigation, it was determined an oil drum field pad sit caught fire caused by being struck by lighting. Case information only.

At approximately 8:52 a.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to the 1100 block of CR 152 Columbus, Tx, for an animal cell. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a citation for Vaccination of Dogs and Cats Required - Class “C” Misdemeanor. Case is cleared.

At approximately 7:43 p.m., deputy Machac responded to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of FM 1291 and Ehlinger Road. After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Cody Marshall, age 36, of New Ulm, was arrested for an active warrant out of Harris County. Case cleared by adult arrest.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the Rice Medical Center in Eagle Lake in reference to an animal bite that occurred in the 5000 block of West 1st Street, Sheridan, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and determined the dog was current with its vaccinations. Case information only.

THURSDAY, DEC. 26 At approximately 10:20 a.m., deputy Weido met with a complainant at the Sheriff’s Office who resides in Sheridan, Tx, in reference to a theft. Information was taken to conduct an investigation. The case is active.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., deputy Weido met with a complainant at the Sheriff’s Office who resides off FM 109 in Columbus in reference to a theft. Information was taken to conduct an investigation. The case is active.

SUNDAY, DEC. 29

At approximately 8:25 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 5000 block of Main Street, Sheridan, in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.

MONDAY, DEC. 30

At approximately 4:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 5000 block of Main Street, Sheridan, about a theft that occurred. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.

TUESDAY, DEC. 31

At approximately 8:40 a.m., deputy Lopez was contacted by Texana in reference to a threat that was made by a client from the 1300 block of Lakeside Drive, Eagle Lake, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and determined the victim did not wish to pursue charges. Case information only.

At approximately 8:45 a.m., deputy Weido spoke with a Complainant by phone in reference to a criminal mischief that occurred on County Road 101 in Columbus, Tx. Information was taken to conduct an investigation.
