3rd Annual Community Connections Day set for April 26 The 3rd Annual Community Connections Day is set to take place on Saturday, April 26 at the Columbus Courthouse Square from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will be thrown jointly between the Colorado County Habitat for Humanity and the Wellness Council of Greater Colorado Valley.
The event will also feature a Health Fair conducted by the Wellness Council and will land on the same Saturday as the April Columbus Country Market.
There will be information booths, blood donations, eye testing, games for all, food, drinks and health checks.
The event is a big opportunity to meet and support local organizations and to learn more about those involved.

First Columbus Country Market of the year set for March 29
The first Columbus Country Market of the year will take place on Saturday, March 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Courthouse Square in downtown Columbus.
The Country Market is held on the last Saturday of each month from March to November.
Attendees can enjoy a morning full of vendors, from farmers to bakers, artists, authors, artisans, cooks, canners, jammers, produce, wine, family fun, crafts, plants, live music, food and more.
The Country Market are still looking for volunteers at the moment. Duties include assiting at the information tent and helping with general tasks. For more information, call the chamber office at 979-7328385.
Colorado County Historical Commission showcasing history of baseball in county March 20
The Colorado County Historical Commission will meet on Thursday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m.at the Heritage Society Museum located in Weimar on 125 E. Main St.
The commission will be diving deep into the history of baseball in Colorado County and the baseball greats of the past that started their careers in Weimar.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Come out and enjoy a hot dog, peanuts and cracker jacks.
Presenters for the event will be Frank Cernosek, Don Kasparek, Tom Strickland and Jon Wunderlich.
Weimar Rock the Block set for March 21
The second Weimar Rock the Block, hosted by the Weimar Chamber of Commerce, is set to takeover downtown Weimar this Friday, March 21 on Post Office St. from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Attendees will have plenty to do with the event featuring live music, local vendors, food, drinks, games and even a fire pit to make s’mores.
Live music will be provided by the Tainted Heart Band.
