The Rice Raiders capped off their season with another solid playoff run filled with tons of exciting action.

They were unfortunately eliminated from the playoffs but with that comes All-District honors and the Raiders had seven players selected to the All-District team.

The First Raider selected was Robert Bennett who was named the Co-Defensive MVP for the 2025 season. Bennett is an aggressive defender that frustrates the opposition, he has quick hands that were useful for poking the ball free and creating a turnover.

Bennett was also a great offensive player for the Raiders this past season, but his defensive skill set is what stuck out to most people.

His teammates Jon Woods and Dyren Johnson were named to the First All-District team. Woods played on the wing and was a catch and shoot player, he shot a high percentage this season for the Raiders on offense then turned around and used his length to swat any ball that came near his team’s basket.

Johnson on the other hand was a jack of all trades, he played inside, he played outside he played on the wing. No matter where head coach John Paul Hunter put Johnson he thrived.

Johnson is a great dribbler; he can shoot any shot on the court from anywhere on the court and has the touch around the rim to record easy two-points with layups.

D’Neriyan Fuller and Deveron Bennett were selected to the Second All-District team. Fuller brought secondary scoring to the lineup and was a clutch shooter down the stretch of the season.

Bennett was a paint presence; his size and strength allowed him to box out anyone who matched up with him. He was also a vital part of the Raiders pick and roll game where he opened a ton of space for the shooters on the Raiders to do their thing.

A.J. Jenkins and Ta’Marion Turner were both named as Honorable Mentions during the All-District honors. Jenkins played in more of a limited role for the Raiders but was a great teammate throughout the season and always fired his team up with a hard dunk.

Turner brought a ton of energy to the lineup; this guy is turned up to 11 most games and his teammates feed off of his energy. He plays with passion, aggression and has been known to put points up on the board. He is a senior this year and his presence will be missed in the Raider locker room.

Congratulations to the Rice Raiders on a great season and to all the athletes named to the All-District team.
