SATURDAY, NOV. 23
At approximately 9:15 a.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to the area of FM 333 and CR 110, Gawood, in reference to trespassing. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a criminal trespass warning. Case cleared.
At approximately 10:39 a.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 1200 block of CR 151, Columbus, in reference to property damage. After further investigation, information was received and determined the dispute would be settled civilly. Case cleared.
At approximately 6:43 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office in reference to an irate citizen causing a disturbance in the lobby. After further investigation, Ryder Layne McGuffin, age 21, of Alleyton, Tx, was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication, both Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
SUNDAY, NOV. 24
At approximately 1:16 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to the 900 block of Crooked Dr in Sheridan in reference to an assault. After further investigation, a warrant was issued on this case and Robert Curtis, age 69, of Sheridan, Tx, was arrested for Assault Family Family Impede Breath or Circulation - Felony 3. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 1:29 p.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to the 300 block of Camp Street, Alleyton, in reference to a domestic disturbance. After further investigation, Alfredo Juarez Rivera, age 18, of Alleyton, Tx, was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Member Class “A” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 2000 block of Reese Lane, Columbus, in reference to a stolen vehicle. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
MONDAY, NOV. 25
At approximately 10:41 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the Rest Area on US-90A near Eagle Lake in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, Angela Middleton, age 36, of Eagle Lake, Tx, was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury - Class “A” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 10:55 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 1000 block of Mansfield Street, Garwood, in reference to trespassing. After further investigation, Ryan Cason, age 37, of Eagle Lake, was arrested for Criminal Trespass-Misdemeanor “B”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 11:29 a.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to the 400 block of Canal Street, Garwood, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, James Johnson, age 39, of Garwood, Tx, was arrested for Injury to a Child, Elderly, or Disabled Individual with Intentional Bodily Injury - Felony 3. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 1:03 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 5400 block of IH-10, Alleyton, in reference to the theft of a commercial vehicle. After further investigation, the vehicle was recovered in a different county. Case cleared.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 3800 block of US-90, Glidden, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, it was determined the dispute was verbal in nature over possibly stolen property, and the parties were separated on scene. Case cleared.
TUESDAY, NOV. 26
At approximately 11:51 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 1200 block of County Road 220, Weimar, in reference to a structure fire. The fire resulted in the complete loss of a manufactured home. Deputy determined no acts of foul play caused the fire. Case cleared.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 27 At approximately 1:30 p.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to the 1000 block of Pintail Lane, Rock Island, in reference to a burn ban violation. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case cleared.
At approximately 2:02 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to contact a complainant in reference to a theft that occurred in the 2900 block of Sandy Creek Road, Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and the property was entered into TCIC/NCIC as stolen. Case inactive.
THURSDAY, NOV. 28
At approximately 10:09 a.m., deputy Byars was dispatched in reference to a pursuit from Fayette County entering our county on IH-10 near Weimar, Tx. After further investigation, the pursuit came to an end and the suspect was apprehended and released to Fayette County. Case information only.
At approximately 5:35 p.m., deputy Melendez while patrolling the 2100 block of Hwy 90 in Weimar conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation, Roberto Sanchez, age 44, of Weimar, Tx, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated Enhanced With Child Under 15 - State Jail Felony. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 9:20 p.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to FM 950 near Mockingbird Lane, Eagle Lake, for a motor vehicle accident involving livestock. After further investigation, information was received and an owner has not been located as of the reported accident date. Case active.
At approximately 10:03 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to the 600 block of Arthur Street in Garwood, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a citation for Assault by Contact - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared.
SATURDAY, NOV. 30
At approximately 9:02 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to IH-10 WB near Bernardo, in reference to a vehicle fire. After further investigation, the fire was extinguished and the vehicle was towed by Delgado’s Wrecker Service. Case information only.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 2200 block of Highway 90A, Sheridan, in reference to damaged property. After further investigation, information was received and determined there was no evidence on scene to point towards a possible suspect. Case inactive at this time.
