On Friday, Feb. 14, Mrs. Barten’s 3rd graders visited Columbus Oaks and gussied up some residents for Valentine’s Day. Students painted fingernails, handed out Valentine cards and played games with the residents. Mrs. Tromblee’s junior high students also delivered homemade Valentine greetings to TLC and spent some time visiting with their residents.
Mr. Blake Kridel spent Valentine’s Day on campus as a Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer. Our Saints love interacting with the dads and grandpas that come to spend a day at our school.
This coming Saturday, Feb. 22, SAS kids will travel to Giddings for the annual PSIA Academic Contest. Students 1st through 8th grade will compete in categories such as spelling, mathematics, storytelling, modern oratory, listening skills, and number sense.
Track season is off and running. Practices are taking place and Saints will participate in their first meet in Hallettsville on Monday, Feb. 24, hosted by Sacred Heart.
Come grow with us. Mark your calendars for the SAS Early Childhood Open House. If you are interested in checking out the PreK 3, PreK 4 or Kindergarten program at St. Anthony, please join us on Tuesday, March 4 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Bring your little one for an activity, snack, and to meet the teacher. 2025-26 registration opened for current SAS families on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Families that are members of St. Anthony, St. Roch, or Sts. Peter & Paul parishes may register beginning on March 17. Public registration opens on March 31.
