The Texas ChalleNGe Academy (TCA) proudly recognizes Cadet Private First Class Devon Poer as the Cadet of the Week for week five of the 2024-2 cycle.
Chosen from among 125 cadets currently enrolled in the program, Poer has demonstrated exceptional leadership and determination, setting himself apart as a role model for his peers. Poer comes to TCA from Miracle Farms Online School in Kerrville.
Poer joined TCA with a clear vision; to earn both his GED and high school diploma. He aspires to rise through the ranks to achieve the position of 1st Sergeant and to earn the rank of Sergeant during his time at the academy.
Reflecting on his journey thus far, Poer credits TCA with instilling in him valuable lessons in military customs and discipline; qualities that have fueled his growth and commitment to excellence.
Looking ahead, Poer plans to enlist in the United States Marine Corps following his graduation from TCA. He has also set a bold goal of serving in all four branches of the military over the course of his career.
