FRIDAY, NOV. 1
At approximately 3:36 a.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to the 1000 block of Private Road 20, Weimar, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, Gerardo Rodriguez Castillo, age 29, of Weimar, Tx, was arrested for Assault by Contact Family Member - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
SUNDAY, NOV. 3
At approximately 3:26 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 1000 block of Flower Hill Road, Columbus, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, Frederick Thomas, age 29, of Columbus, Tx, was arrested for Terroristic Threat (Family Member) - Misdemeanor “A” and Resist Arrest, Search, Transport - Misdemeanor “A”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
MONDAY, NOV. 4
At approximately 10:24 a.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 1600 block of CR 253, Weimar, in reference to burglary. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
TUESDAY, NOV. 5
At approximately 7:20 p.m., deputy Smyers while patrolling Hwy 90 near Columbus conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving traffic violation. After further investigation, a subject was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by citation.
At approximately 8:04 p.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to Interstate Hwy 10 near Bernardo in reference to a reckless driver. After further investigation, Jesus Lopez Barajas, of Houston, age 50, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated - Class “B” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 6
At approximately 2:12 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to a business in the 1900 block of Hwy 90, Weimar, in reference to property damage. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.
At approximately 3:01 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to the 1600 block of Bernardo Road, Bernardo, in reference to an abandoned trailer. After further investigation, it was determined the trailer was reported stolen out of Pecos County and was removed from the roadway. Case cleared.
At approximately 7:22 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 5000 block of W 1st Street, Sheridan, in reference to property damage. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case inactive.
THURSDAY, NOV. 7
At approximately 2:14 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to a residence in the 5900 block of E Second Street, Sheridan, in reference to an unwanted subject. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a criminal trespass warning. Case cleared.
FRIDAY, NOV. 8
At approximately 4:25 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to the 4800 block of IH-10 in Alleyton in reference to a theft in progress. Deputies located one of the suspects and after further investigation, Osmany Rancel Ohalloran Rigal, age 29, of Katy, was arrested for Theft.
At approximately 7:21 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office lobby in reference to a subject turning herself in on warrants. After further investigation, Melanie Marie Martinez, age 22, of Wharton, Tx, was taken into custody for a local warrant as well as an out of county warrant. Case cleared by adult arrest.
SATURDAY, NOV. 9
At approximately 2:04 a.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to IH-10 near Alleyton for a vehicle stopped in the roadway. After further investigation, Mykol Mendoza Chavarria, age 22, of Sealy, Tx, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated - Misdemeanor “B” and Obstructing a Highway or other Passageway - State Jail Felony. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched that Austin County was in pursuit of a vehicle. The vehicle wrecked out, the suspect was arrested, and the child was taken care of until family took her into custody. Case is information only.
TUESDAY, NOV. 12
At approximately 3:26 p.m., deputy Mican was dispatched to the 1600 block of County Road 270, Weimar, in reference to a burglary of a habitation. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 1200 block of Piney Woods Road, Alleyton, regarding property damage. After further investigation, a property owner was located and the damages would be handled civilly. Case information only.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 13 At approximately 1:36 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to a theft of services call at the 1900 block of CR 101, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, information was gathered and determined the case would be civil in nature. Case is cleared.
At approximately 5:32 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to a public service in reference to a theft occurring in the 1700 block of FM 109 New Ulm, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
THURSDAY, NOV. 14
At approximately 1:30 p.m., deputy Weido received a phone call from a complainant who resides near Weimar in reference to harassment. After further investigation, it was determined the suspects were from outside the Country and were attempting to extort money from the complainant. Case is cleared.
