Victoria Diocese Knights of Columbus host free throw contests
The Victoria Diocese Knights of Columbus held a free throw contest for youth basketball enthusiasts, hosted by Diocesan Deputy Kenny Trochta on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Boys and girls from around the county, aged nine to 14, got the opportunity to go against each other to see who would be crowned the free throw king or queen for their age group.
All first-place winners will advance to the state competition on Saturday, March 8 in San Antonio at the Ed White Middle School, located on 7800 Mid Crown.
Doors will open at 7 a.m. Registration and practice will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. The competition will start after the opening prayer and the presentation of colors.
