The Wellness Council is grateful to Columbus Christian Women’s Organization for their generous donation of $2,000.
Their donation and others make it possible for the Wellness Council to continue their monthly awareness campaigns that seek to educate and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues and make citizens aware of resources available in the community.
The Wellness Council holds a monthly meeting every second Thursday at 12 p.m.in the Colorado County Courthouse, first floor courtroom. The meetings are open to the public.
Each month the Wellness Council focuses on a different mental health topic and always has educational speakers and service providers sharing their expertise on the subject. These meetings are a perfect opportunity to learn about providers in our community and become more knowledgeable about those things that affect our mental health The focus in February is “Be Alert, Be Aware, Be Safe.” Sheriff Justin Lindemann and his Command Staff will be the guest speakers. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn from experts who serve and protect our community.
