Sheriff ’s Report

TUESDAY, OCT. 22

At approximately 9:49 a.m., deputy Gorman was dispatched to the 2000 block of Alleyton Road in reference to property damage. After further investigation, both parties decided to settle the incident civilly. Case closed.

At approximately 10:03 a.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to Piney Woods Road near Rocking R Road, Alleyton, Tx in reference to illegal dumping. After further investigation, information was received and the trash was removed from the easement. Information only.

At approximately 11:51 a.m., deputy Moulder was dispatched to Tractor Supply located at 4880 S Interstate 10 in reference to theft.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 23

At approximately 8:02 a.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to an illegal dumping that occurred at the intersection of FM 102 and Matthew Store Road, Eagle Lake, Tx. After further investigation, a suspect was identified and later received a citation for illegal dumping. Case is cleared.

THURSDAY, OCT. 24

At approximately 7:32 p.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 1300 block of Old Altair Road, Eagle Lake, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, it was determined that the victim did not wish to prosecute charges and the parties were separated.

SATURDAY, OCT. 26

At approximately 1:22 p.m., deputy Gorman was advised to public service a subject off Flower Hill Road in reference to stolen livestock. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.

SUNDAY, OCT. 27

At approximately 1:21 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the Eagle Lake Police Department in reference to an assault that took place at the 1000 block of Yett Street in Eagle Lake. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.

At approximately 11:43 a.m., deputy Gorman attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 400 block of Walnut Street for a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to yield, and after a brief pursuit, Grayson Grisso, age 28, of Aubrey, Tx, was arrested for Evading Arrest Detention w/ Motor Vehicle - State Jail Felony and Unlawful Carry of a Firearm - Misdemeanor “A”. Case cleared by adult arrest.

MONDAY, OCT. 28

At approximately 1:10 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to an incident exposure call in the 6500 block of Hwy 71 S in Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, a subject was issued a citation for disorderly conduct. Case cleared.

At approximately 1:03 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to the 600 block of Crooked Creek Drive, Sheridan, Tx, in reference to a theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.

TUESDAY, OCT. 29

At approximately 8:46 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to County Road 169, Garwood, Tx, in reference to illegal dumping. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.

At approximately 1:24 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office lobby in reference to fraud occurring at the 1000 block of Brandt Lane, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, a warrant was issued for Megan Evans, age 43, of Columbus, was arrested for Credit Card Debit Card Abuse Elderly - Felony 3. Case cleared by adult arrest.

At approximately 3:43 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to a public service in reference to a theft which occurred at the 1100 block of Business 71, Columbs, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.

THURSDAY, OCT. 31

At approximately 5:39 a.m., deputy Gorman was dispatched to the 4200 block of Highway 90A, Altair, Tx, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.

At approximately 7:50 a.m., deputy Gorman was dispatched to the area of Highway 90A and CR 16 in reference to a possible mental subject. After further investigation, Brian Hillard, age 52, of Conroe, Tx, was arrested for an out of county Felony warrant. Case cleared by adult arrest.

At approximately 9:01 a.m., deputy Gorman was dispatched to FM 109 near Wavra Lane, New Ulm, Tx, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.

At approximately 1:12 p.m., deputy Gorman was dispatched to the 1800 block of Highway 71 West Bound, Columbus, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., deputy Mican was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office lobby to speak with an individual who was requesting a criminal trespass warning for a residence in the 400 block of Canal Street, Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was served with a trespass warning. Case cleared.

At approximately 2:25 p.m., deputy Gorman was dispatched to the 1000 block of Johnie Mae Lane, Weimar, Tx, in reference to a structure fire. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.
