The Columbus Lady Cardinals have only three games left in the regular season and have not locked up a playoff spot just yet.
The Lady Cards are currently in third place with a 6-3 record with Tidehaven and Hallettsville in front of them in 1st and 2nd place respectively.
But it is more the teams below that that are worth keeping an eye on down this last stretch of games. Palacios, Edna and Industrial are all one game back from leaping over the Lady Cards in the standings.
Their final three games begin with a game against their rival Hallettsville and if they can find a way to win that game, they will be in the driver’s seat to lock up a playoff spot. A win over Hallettsville would help the Lady Cards jump into 2nd place, and they will be able to carry that confidence into their game against Palacios.
This will be another must win for the Lady Cards because Palacios is right on the Lady Cards heels in the standings. They will also be looking to sack up wins, so these next two games are going to have major implications on the playoff picture.
The Lady Cards want to be on the positive end of things and make sure they are in the playoff picture before the end of the season.
