Sheriff ’s Report
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 16
At approximately 8:40 a.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to the 1000 block of Pine Crest Dr, New Ulm, in reference to fraud. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.
At approximately 12:01 p.m., deputy Smyers while patrolling at the 1400 block of US 90A in Sheridan initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an investigative stop. After further investigation, Sudheer Voraganti, age 35, of Katy, Tx, was arrested for an out of county felony warrant. Case cleared by adult arrest.
FRIDAY, OCT. 18
At approximately 1:16 a.m., deputy Byars and deputy Eric Smith were dispatched to the 1400 block of FM 109, New Ulm, regarding an active disturbance. After further investigation, Bryon Smith, age 31, of New Ulm, Tx, was arrested for a local felony warrant, Resist Arrest Search Transport - Misdemeanor “A” and Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Member - Misdemeanor “A”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
SATURDAY, OCT. 19
At approximately 10:00 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 1100 block of Abel Road, New Ulm, in reference to harassment. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.
SUNDAY, OCT. 20
At approximately 6:45 p.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 5000 block of E First Street Sheridan, in reference to a theft. After further investigation, information was received and the property was later returned. Case is cleared.
MONDAY, OCT. 21
At approximately 8:18 a.m., deputy Zwahr arrived at an abandoned vehicle located at IH-10 Eastbound near Columbus. After further investigation, the vehicle was towed and will be entered into TCIC/NCIC as stored and abandoned. Information only.
At approximately 10:22 a.m., deputy Gorman was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to harassment at the 2400 block of Hwy 71 S, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case inactive.
At approximately 2:08 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to a residence in Garwood in reference to a complainant wanting a criminal trespass warning filed against another person. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a criminal trespass warning. Case cleared.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the IH-10 Eastbound rest stop near Glidden in reference to a medical emergency. After further investigation, Richard Deluna, age 38, of Raymondville, Tx, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1<1G - State Jail Felony. Case cleared by adult arrest.
