WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 18
At approximately 3:24 p.m., deputy Wiese was notified by a school administrator from Rics ISD of a student making a threat. After further investigation, information was received and a juvenile was processed for Terroristic Threat - Misdemeanor “B”. Case cleared by juvenile arrest.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 21
At approximately 11:09 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to a business located at the 2600 block of HIghway 71, Columbus, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After further investigation, Cristian Vasquez-Salazar, age 27, of Houston, Tx, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated - Class “B” Misdemeanor, Duty Upon Striking Class “B” Misdemeanor, and No Driver’s License - Class “C” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 1200 block of CR 250, Weimar, in reference to a suspicious call. After further investigation, John Pierce, age 42, of Weimar, Tx, was arrested for Public Intoxication - Misdemeanor “C”. Case was cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 10:16 p.m., deputy Ramirez was dispatched to the KC Hall in Columbus in reference to a fight in progress. After further investigation, Rafael Rico Almendarez, age 40, of Schulenburg, Tx and Luis Enrique Olea, age 29, of San Antonio, Tx, were both arrested for Public Intoxication - Class “C” Misdemeanor and Disorderly Conduct - Fighting - Class “C” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
Sunday, Sept. 22 At approximately 2:45 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 7800 block of Highway 71, Garwood, in reference to criminal mischief. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a citation. Case cleared.
MONDAY, SEPT. 23
At approximately 6:50 a.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 100 block of Business 71, Columbus, in reference to theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
At approximately 9:05 a.m., deputy Wiese was working security at the 1000 block of Raider Dr, Altair, Tx, when he was made aware of a minor student in possession of an alcoholic beverage. After further investigation, information was received and the student was issued a citation for Minor in Possession - Misdemeanor “C’. Case cleared by issuance of citation.
At approximately 11:43 a.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office to speak with a Complainant in reference to a theft that occurred in the 3400 block of FM 1693 in Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 24
At approximately 4:12 a.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to the 1000 block of County Road 248, Weimar, in reference to the complainant requesting an escort from her house to her vehicle. After further investigation, Jerret Lee, age 47, of Weimar, Tx, was arrested for local misdemeanor warrant. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 9:40 a.m., deputy Weido spoke with a Complainant in reference to the attempted theft of livestock from property located off of Flower Hill Road in Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, information was taken to conduct an investigation. The report will be submitted to the Texas Southwest Cattle Raiser Association Ranger for further investigation.
At approximately 12:34 p.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 1900 block of CR 16, Altair, in reference to Illegal Dumping. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Precinct 4 workers will remove the trash that was dumped. Information only.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to a public service regarding an altercation that took place in the parking lot of the Sheridan Post Office. After further investigation, a warrant was issued, and Connie Robinson, age 58, of Sheridan, Tx, was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon - Felony 2. Case cleared by adult arrest.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 25
At approximately 12:31 a.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to the 1100 block of Tait Ranch Road, Columbus, in reference to a structure fire. After further investigation, information was received and determined the fire started from a lighting strike. Case cleared.
At approximately 2:42 a.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to the 1300 block of Lakeside Drive, Eagle Lake, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, Siblena Cochran, age 42, of Eagle Lake, Tx, was arrested for Assault by Contact Family Member - Class “C” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 5:50 p.m., deputy Thomas while patrolling Hwy 90 near FM 102, Alleyton, initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation, Eulises Samaniego, age 23, of Pflugerville, Tx, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated/ Open Alcohol Container - Misdemeanor “B”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 1000 block of Pasovec Lane, Columbus, in reference to an assault. After further investigation, a warrant was issued for this case, and James Jordan, age 42, of Columbus, Tx, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member Class “A” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 26
At approximately 6:43 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 2200 block of Walnut Street in reference to a person being disorderly. After further investigation, Ryan Cason, age 36, of Eagle Lake, Tx, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 10:35 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 1600 block of Smith Rau Road, Columbus, in reference to property damage. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.
At approximately 3:56 p.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 1000 block of County Road 248, Weimar, in reference to an unwanted subject. After further investigation, Jerrert Lee, age 47, of Weimar, Tx, was arrested for Violation of Protective Order - Misdemeanor “A”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 27
At approximately 7:17 p.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to a public service in reference to animal cruelty in the 1300 block of Piney Woods Road, Alleyton, Tx. After further investigation, it was determined the livestock were not malnourished and there was feed accessible to the livestock. Case cleared.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 28
At approximately 4:07 p.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office to speak with a Complainant in reference to theft that occurred at the 4400 block of Hwy 90, Alleyton, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
MONDAY, SEPT. 30
At approximately 10:19 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 1400 block of County Road 105, Columbus, Tx, in reference to a welfare concern. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is cleared.
TUESDAY, OCT. 1
At approximately 8:25 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the area of 700 Eastbound mile marker IH-10 near Alleyton in reference to a vehicle fire. After further investigation, it was determined the fire was caused due to vehicle malfunction and was extinguished by the fire department. Case cleared.
THURSDAY, OCT. 3
At approximately 11:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 2000 block of CR 215 in Weimar, Tx in reference to a family disturbance. After further investigation, Alan Johnson, age 36, of Weimar, Tx, was arrested for Unlawful Restraint Misdemeanor “A”, Resist Arrest/Search/ Transport - Misdemeanor “A”, and Injury to Child/Elderly/Disabled w/ intent to bodily injury - Felony 3. Case is cleared by adult arrest.
SATURDAY, OCT. 5
At approximately 7:48 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 1900 block of County Road 218, Weimar, in reference to property damage. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is inactive.
SUNDAY, OCT. 6
At approximately 9:07 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the intersection of County Road 169 and Highway 71, Garwood, in reference to an abandoned vehicle. After further investigation, the vehicle was towed from the roadway and entered into TCIC/NCIC as stored and abandoned. Case cleared.
MONDAY, OCT. 7
At approximately 2:39 a.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 2300 block of SH 71 Eastbound, Columbus, in reference to a vehicle fire. After further investigation, the fire was extinguished and the trailer was deemed a total loss. Case cleared.
THURSDAY, OCT. 10
At approximately 10:11 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 1400 block of Hwy 90A, Sheridan, in reference to an assault. After further investigation, information was received and a citation was issued to a subject for Assault by Contact - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared.
FRIDAY, OCT. 11
At approximately 9:00 a.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 71 S near CR 101 S, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, the vehicle was towed from the roadway and entered into TCIC/NCIC as stored and abandoned. Case cleared.
At approximately 12:04 p.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to a public service for a criminal trespass warning located in the 6500 block of Hwy 71 S, Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and two subjects were issued Criminal Trespass Warnings. Case cleared.
At approximately 12:58 p.m., deputy Gorman was dispatched to the 1000 block of Garden Lane, Columbus, in reference to an assault. After further investigation, information was received and determined no charges would be filed. Case cleared.
At approximately 12:04 p.m., deputy Smyers was dispatched to the 800 block of East A Street, Eagle Lake, in reference to a wanted person. After further investigation, Lee Kimble Jr., age 42, of Eagle Lake, Tx, was arrested for an out of county Felony warrant. Case cleared by adult arrest.
TUESDAY, OCT. 15
At approximately 2:45 p.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched in reference to a vehicle traveling on Hwy 90 E into Colorado County, bearing a stolen license plate. After further investigation, the vehicle was stopped and the stolen license plate was recovered and destroyed. Case cleared.
