Class was back in session on Tuesday, Jan. 7, just in time for report cards to go home on Jan. 8.

Saints basketball teams hosted St. Joseph last Thursday, Jan. 9, with the C boys and B boys both victorious.

This past Monday, Jan. 13, SAS basketball honored team parents prior to games against St. Michael.

This coming Saturday, Jan. 18, the A girls will travel to Bellville for a tournament at Faith Academy.

SAS Athletes of the Month for November and December were recently announced. November winners were Joshua Newman, Samuel Gonzales and Emily Fuller. December winners were Cormac Barten, Kaden Glueck and Jace Tribe.

Prior to the Christmas break, SAS held a Christmas gift drive in memory of former student Aleks Medrano. School families collected new gift items for teenagers spending the holidays in Texas Children’s Hospital. Some of the Junior High ambassadors delivered the gifts to the West campus location in time for Christmas.

Upcoming events: No school on Friday, Jan. 17 for in-service. Catholic Life Insurance raffle ticket sales until next Tuesday, Jan. 21. SAS Advisory Council meeting next Tuesday, Jan. 21. Catholic Schools Week Sunday, Jan. 26 through Friday, Jan. 31. SAS welcomes all to attend Children’s Mass on Fridays at 8:15 a.m.
