MONDAY, SEPT. 2
At approximately 5:55 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 1000 block of County Road 151, Columbus, in reference to a structure fire. After further investigation, the travel trailer was deemed a total loss, and it was determined the fire was not suspicious in nature. Case information only.
At approximately 8:37 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to a business located in the 1100 block of FM 1890, Columbus, in reference to property damage. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is inactive.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 3
At approximately 12:03 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to a business located at the 4200 block of Highway 90A, Altair, in reference to a theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
At approximately 10:38 p.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 300 block of Radio Lane, Columbus, in reference to a suspicious person. After further investigation, William Waldrop, age 49, of Columbus, Tx, was arrested for Abandon and Endangering a Child Criminal Negligence - State Jail Felony. Case cleared by adult arrest.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4 At approximately 1:39 p.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 5500 block of East Second Street, Sheridan, in reference to a burglary. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case inactive pending further information.
At approximately 7:38 p.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to the 1100 block of Challenge Street, Altair, in reference to an unwanted subject. After further investigation, information was received and a criminal trespass warning was issued to a subject. Case cleared.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 5
At approximately 9:27 a.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 200 block of Center Street, Alleyton, in reference to Theft of Service. After further investigation, information was received and determined the services were paid in full and no charges would be filed. Case information only.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 7
At approximately 12:24 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 1100 block of FM 1890 in Columbus, in reference to criminal mischief. After further investigation, Seth Heintschel, age 35, of Brenham, Tx, was arrested for Criminal Mischief >=$100<$750 - Misdemeanor “B”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 9:16 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 1000 block of Schobel Road, Columbus, in reference to a terroristic threat. After further investigation, information was received and subjects were issued Criminal Trespass Warnings. Case cleared.
At approximately 10:38 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 2000 block of CR 102, Columbus, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, information was received and the parties were separated without incident. Case cleared.
At approximately 11:01 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to a public service in reference to a theft that occurred on Jim Bob Lane, New Ulm. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case inactive.
At approximately 4:45 p.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 4000 block of Highway 71S, Columbus, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After further investigation, Toriano Deshon Thomas, age 52, of Weimar, Tx, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid w/ Previous Convictions - Misdemeanor “B”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 11:46 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 300 block of Canal Street, Garwood, in reference to an assault. After further investigation, a juvenile suspect was processed for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Member - Misdemeanor “A” and Evading Arrest/Detention - Misdemeanor “A” and then transported to a juvenile facility. Case cleared by juvenile arrest.
MONDAY, SEPT. 9
At approximately 9:50 a.m., deputy Weido met with a complainant at the Sheriff’s Office who resides on Frelsburg Road in Cat Spring in reference to fraud. Information was taken to conduct an investigation. The case is active.
At approximately 12:21 p.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to County Road 106 Rock Island in reference to theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case is active.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11
At approximately 3:00 p.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to a disturbance at 1000 block of CR 220, Weimar, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a citation and a criminal trespass warning. Case cleared.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 12
At approximately 8:41 a.m., deputy Moulder was dispatched to a business in the 3900 block of US Hwy 90, Alleyton, in reference to a theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
At approximately 9:50 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to a business located at the 6700 block of Highway 90, Sealy, in reference to theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case inactive.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., deputy Smith was dispatched to the 1300 block of FM 2437, Sheridan, in reference to theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
At approximately 2:20 p.m., deputy Weido met with a Detention Officer in reference to damage caused to a window by an inmate of the Colorado County Detention Center located at 2215 Walnut Street in Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, Ruben Gutierrez, age 21, of Columbus, Tx, was charged with Criminal Mischief >$750<$2,500 Misdemeanor “A”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 9:59 p.m., deputy Ramirez was dispatched to Ramsey Road, Alleyton, in reference to a suspicious person sleeping in a ditch. After further investigation, Darlin Vasquez, age 22, was arrested for Public Intoxication - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by arrest.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 13
At approximately 7:20 p.m., deputy Cantu and other deputies were made aware of an intoxicated adult male in the 1100 block of Crossroad Blvd, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, Angel Gomez, age 40, of Columbus, Tx, was arrested for Public Intoxication Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 7:39 p.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to the Colorado County Fair Grounds in reference to criminal mischief that occurred on a RV Camper. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case information only.
MONDAY, SEPT. 16
At approximately 8:21 a.m., deputy Moulder was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office lobby in reference to fraud that occurred at the 1000 block of Weido Loop, Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and determined to be civil. Case cleared.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 18
At approximately 4:21 a.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 1400 block of US 90A, Sheridan, in reference to a possible burglary. After further investigation, information was received and a subject was issued a trespass warning. Case cleared.
