Winners of the Eagle Lake Garden Guild’s annual Holiday Decorating Contest

The annual Holiday Decorating Contest held by the Eagle Lake Garden Guild has come to a conclusion, with the following homes chosen as winners.

Take your and your loved ones on a drive through these streets to view all the decor. Waverly Ave., McCarty Ave., Prairie Ave., State St., Burns Ave., Tate Ave., Church St., Schley St., Waddell St., Melody Lane, Willow Lane, Partridge Lane and Hwy 90A.

Patricia Black’s home located on 808 D St. won the “most animated home” category. A simplistic display using fun M&M’s and colored lights, surrounded by lighted candy canes, brings holiday cheer. Santa’s lighted sleigh and reindeer help highlight the M&M pieces sitting in the large, decorated chairs, closely watched by a beautifully lit angel.

The home of Amanda Casilla and Martin Patino, located on 405 Scott Ave., took home the “most festive” category. This display of a large Santa, reindeer and candy canes outlined by white lights anchors the yard. The theme of red and white colors was highlighted by the decor. In addition, a fun inflatable wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas,” completed the display.
