WEIMAR LADYCATS VOLLEYBALL
The Weimar Ladycats had a very successful season this year and they are still earning awards for their effort.
Three Ladycats were selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association Academic All-State team.
The three Ladycats that earned this honor are Erica Billeck, Lauren Hinze and Taylor Smith. These three played a big role for the Ladycats on the court and made sure they handled their business off the court in the classroom.
While athletic success should be celebrated, academic success is just as important to the players and the coaches. These three maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA while being major contributors to the Ladycats success this season.
This trio was a defensive force for the Ladycats this season. Smith was one of the best blockers in the district while Hinze and Billeck chipped in on the offensive effort.
These Ladycats earned their spot on the Academic All-State team and deserved to be recognized for their hard work.
