Yesterday, SAS students met to discuss the character trait courage. Teams got together in storytelling circles to share about a time they had to push through their fear and show courage.
They learned that it can be helpful to remember that courage is fueled by faith and how we can rely on God’s strength and guidance during the challenges of life.
Last evening, the SAS Early Childhood classes delighted the audience with their annual Christmas program. Miss Muras’ 3K class sang “Baby Jesus, I Love You” and “The Chipmunk Christmas Song.”
Ms. Bartels’ 4K kids performed the sweet story of the animals at Jesus’ birth called “Room for a Little One.” Mrs. Darr’s 5K students rounded out the evening by singing “Away in a Manger”, “Jingle Bells” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.
Tomorrow, Dec. 19, St. Anthony 2nd and 3rd graders are heading to Houston’s Main Street Theater to see a production of “Sleeping Beauty the Musical”.
Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) are still showing up on campus, Our last two volunteers of the semester have been grandfathers of great students. Thanks to Mr. Phil Stika and Mr. John Kovar for playing an active part in their grandchildren’s education. SAS appreciates their willingness to be positive role models for our students.

As SAS prepares for the Christmas break, students will go out with a bang this Friday, Dec.20. After morning mass at 8:15 a.m., Junior High students will spend the morning caroling at Columbus Oaks, TLC and Columbus Oaks Assisted Living. Classes will enjoy their Christmas lunches at 11am, followed by a pep rally at noon. School will be released for the holiday break at 12:30 p.m. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025. The Saintly News column will resume on Jan. 15, 2025.
