Election evaluation to be held at Nesbitt Memorial Library Dec. 13 How did Colorado County vote? An election administrator will tell you just how at an election evaluation at Nesbitt Memorial Library next Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m.
Detailed results of the November 2024 election will be presented that day in the meeting room. The presenter will be Rebecka LaCourse, Colorado County Election Administrator.
The program is sponsored by the Nesbitt Memorial Library and the Colorado County arm of the League of Women Voters of South-Central Texas.
The presentation will include statistics and results of the county’s vote including voter registration and voter turnout. There will also be an announcement of the schedule of 2025 elections.
Audience members will be welcome to ask questions and make comments. Partisan comments will be discouraged.
Coffee and tea will be served.
Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum to host open house Dec. 7 The Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum will be hosting a Christmas Open House this Saturday, Dec. 7 at 275 W. Fairgrounds Rd in La Grange from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This will be the last opportunity to collect non-perishable food items, toiletries and toys for children.
Attendees of all ages can learn how to Polka or Waltz at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
There will be entertainment, refreshments and lots of polka fun.
Columbus Rescue Dogs to hold Pet Photos with Santa Dec. 7 The Columbus Rescue Dogs alongside Freedom Street Rescue and Tractor Supply Company will be taking “Pet Photos with Santa” Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will be held at the Tractor Supply Co. in Columbus located on 4880 I-10 Frontage Rd.
