The Rice Lady Raiders’ season did not go how they expected it to go but they earned All-District honors none the less.
Seven of the Lady Raiders were selected to the All-District team to cap of their 2024 season.
Abigail Hoelscher was selected to the First All-District team and was the lone Lady Raider chosen. Hoelscher has a care factor that does not get talked about enough, if she cares about anything, it’s her team’s success.
It does not matter what the score is or how bleak a situation looks, Hoelscher will be giving every last ounce of energy to keep her team in the game. She is a tough player too playing through injuries and ailments multiple times just because that is who she is as an athlete.
She’s a vocal leader as well and with this being her senior year she has left a huge impact on the Lady Raiders volleyball program for years to come.
