FLATONIA — The Wildcat golfers continued their strong season with another top-three placement. With a few sub-90 finishes as well as a silver medalist, the Wildcats as a whole turned in solid outings that helped the team’s score. The team finished with a score of 369 which was tied for second place. The final placement came down to a tie breaker in which Weimar claimed the bronze medal position.
The Wildcats got many outstanding performances as they gave themselves a chance to stay near the top of the leaderboard. They were led by Hudson Ervin who had the highlight performance of the day. He finished with an 83 to finish with a tie in second place. Ervin then competed in a one-hole playoff to decide the final placement. Another quality performance in the playoff led to Ervin claiming the silver medal.
Weston Pavlik was not far behind from his medalist teammate as he finished with an 88 for the day. Brady Henke notched a sub-100 score with a 95 on his line, and Camden Morrison and Huxton Kloesel scored a 103 and a 121 respectively to complete the day for the Wildcats.
Weimar golf will compete again on March 21 in Hallettsville as they inch closer to the district meet.
