Faith Lutheran Church in Weimar will hold its annual Thanksgiving meal on Sunday, Nov. 24, immediately following the 10 a.m. communion service.
We will go to the Fellowship Hall for the Thanksgiving Meal. Members and friends of the congregation bring many of the traditional foods associated with Thanksgiving to share turkey, ham, dressing, cranberry sauce, assorted casseroles and pumpkin, apple and pecan pies along with an assortment of other desserts.
It is a wonderful time of fellowship, feasting on a host of good things, and giving thanks to God for the many blessings we experience because of the grace and love of God. Bring your favorite Thanksgiving-type food to share as a family of faith.
Faith Lutheran is located at 615 South Eagle St. For further information, contact Pastor Herb Beyer at 361798-0155, cell or e-mail: [email protected].
Also, don’t forget to bring non-perishable food items and toys for the St. Nicholas Ministry—Colorado County to help needy children, their families and the elderly at Christmas.
Boxes for those items are wrapped with Christmas paper and designated St. Nicholas Ministry are placed in the Church’s Worship Center and Fellowship Hall. Special marked envelopes for monetary gifts are also available. Make checks payable to Faith—St. Nicholas Fund.
