Workshop to help day care teachers

The Turtle Wing Foundation and Parents as Teachers have teamed up to bring another continuing education training for day care teachers on Jan. 17.

The workshop, titled “Moving, Grooving & Creating,” will be held at the First United Methodist Church-Weimar, 301 W. Saint Charles St. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The training will conclude at 8 p.m. Attendees will explore how art and music impact children’s cognitive language, motor and social/ emotional development. Participants will also take part in hands-on activities and take the information back to their respective centers/schools.
