Garden Club’s ‘Oops I Missed Halloween’ Flower Show

This fun and whimsical small standard Flower Show presented by Columbus Garden Club will be held at Nesbitt Memorial Library, 529 Washington Street, on Wednesday, Nov. 6 and is open to the public from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The entries will be judged by National Garden Club Accredited Flower Show Judges using the NGC Standard System of Awards for all competitive judging.

Included in the show will be a Horticultural Division (Autumn’s Gold) that will include Section A – Pumpkins, Section B – Ghosts, Section C – Goblins, Section D – Ogres, Section E – Frankenstein, Section F – Witches, Section G – Reds, Browns, Golds, Section H – Black Cats, Section I – Monster Mash, Section J – Trick or Treat, Section K – Jack O’ Lanterns, Section L – Falling Leaves, Section M – Popcorn Balls, Section N – Fall Foliage, Section O – Candy Corn.

There will also be a Design Division (Boos and Ghouls), and a Botanical Arts Division (Midnight Hour) that will include some “Spooky Forest” Fairy Gardens.

The Club began having flower shows again a few years ago and many members have since become involved in Dist. IV Design Schools and even wanting to become Flower Show Judges. This show will be judged by National Garden Club accredited judges.

This all sounds like a lot of fun that you will want to add to your Fall festivities. Bring a friend and have a most delightful time.
