A huge “Thank You” to the community for its support of our Halloween Carnival last Saturday. Business and personal sponsors/donors plus our wonderful SAS families gave so much of themselves in order to provide a fun evening for the young and young at heart. St. Anthony School appreciates everyone that came out to support our PTC’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
For the last 60 years, SAS has counted on the success of this event to help keep tuition costs down for families seeking a Catholic education for their children. Once again, our school family is grateful for everyone pulling together to make that happen.
The top sellers for the carnival raffle sales were announced last Friday. Devyn Krc was the top seller with over $4,200 in ticket sales. 2nd place - Janson Rau, 3rd place – Bennett Pursely, 4th place – Jaxon Vickers, 5th – Heidi Grounds, Honorable Mention – Danica Fuentes. Together, these six students sold over $14,900 worth of raffle tickets Congratulations go out to Olivia Neal and Maddie Wright for a successful showing in the CVFD’s Fire Prevention Poster Contest. Olivia won 1st place in the 2nd/3rd grade division and Maddie won 2nd place in the 4th/5th grade division along with the Community Choice Award! CVFD member Anna Schultze presented trophies, certificates and prizes to the girls after mass last Friday.
Upcoming events: All Saints Day Mass, Fri, Nov.1, 8:15 a.m. Saints basketball practice begins Mon., Nov. 4. Vocations Day for 5th grade at the Diocese of Victoria, Tues., Nov. 5, SAS welcomes all to attend Children’s Mass on Fridays at 8:15 a.m.
