SCHULENBURG & WEIMAR — The Stanzel Family Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in local communities by supporting Arts for Rural Texas (ARTS). This grant will specifically fund the organization’s after-school art program for the Schulenburg and Weimar communities, providing valuable creative opportunities for local youth. By investing in arts education, the Foundation aims to foster an educated and healthy community that nurtures the well-being and potential of every individual.
ARTS art after-school classes introduce children to various forms of art while encouraging creative thinking in a fun and safe environment. Taught by local artists, musicians, and educators, classes are designed to build self-confidence while contributing to artistic skills, leadership development, better academic performance, and barrier-breaking.
ARTS is dedicated to ensuring that every child has an opportunity to explore art. The art after- school classes are open to the public, private, and home-schooled students in grades 1 through 12. Additionally, classes are always offered at no cost to parents or schools.
“ARTS not only encourages children to create with their hands and minds, but we also teach the children of today to become the innovators and leaders of tomorrow,” said Sandra Borne, Executive Director at Arts for Rural Texas. “The generosity of The Stanzel Family Foundation has played a critical role for ARTS to provide educational experiences for the children in Schulenburg and Weimar.”
The mission of Arts for Rural Texas is to enrich lives through art and art education, emphasizing providing opportunities for children. ARTS has removed the barrier of access to the arts for over 27,000 children in our rural communities and through their many other initiatives.
The Stanzel Family Foundation envisions a Healthy Community where each member is engaged in a voluntary and self-motivated pursuit of a healthy lifestyle through education, accessibility, and programs.
