Third grade – Haddie Busselman (1st), Carys Barten (2nd), Addie Werland (3rd). Fourth grade – Beau Neal (1st), Calvin Hoelscher (2nd), Brady Venghaus (3rd), Fifth grade – Maddie Wright (1st), Anslee Busselman (2nd), Carly Aaron (3rd). Sixth grade – Devyn Krc (1st), Kathryn Newman (2nd), Landry Venghaus (3rd). Seventh grade – Kade Glueck (1st). Eighth grade – McKinley Wright (1st), Joshua Newman (2nd), Collette Harrell (3rd). All poster entries will be placed in businesses around town for advertising.
Last Friday SAS students raided their piggy banks and donated a total of $390 toward Fr. James’ cake fundraiser for the church picnic.
This Saturday, Oct. 19, Lady Saints volleyball will compete in St. Michael’s A team tournament. On Monday, Oct. 21, SAS will host St. Trinity in home matches starting at 5 p.m.
It is Fall Field Trip time. The first graders will head to the Rocky Creek Corn Maze in Moulton on Tuesday, Oct. 22 for a day of fun and learning.
Last Wednesday, Oct. 9, SAS joined the Columbus community in saying goodbye to former student Aleks Medrano. Aleks attended St. Anthony School for 11 years, touching the hearts of staff, students and their families, during his time at SAS. The St. Anthony School family extends our deepest condolences to Aleks’ family and loved ones during this time of great sorrow. May he rest in peace with the angels of heaven, and may perpetual light shine upon him. An SAS Children’s Mass will be said in his honor on 2/14/25 at 8:15am.
