In 2010, CVQG instituted this award to recognize a member each year who the CVQG feels has gone above and beyond to help make the Quilt Guild special. Bobbie Elliott was voted as CVQG’s 2024 newest “Cut Above” award recipient.
Elliott has been an active member of the CVQG guild since 2001. With over 23 years in the guild, she has gone above and beyond in the formation of the guild.
Elliott attends the Wednesday Bee and is always looking for new ideas for her own art as well as ideas for our guild projects and quilt show. She seems to always have a job in the guild and carries it out with her own personal style.
Over the years she has helped to make the raffle quilt and many, many charity quilts. She was the 2019 chair of our quilt show, worked membership, fat quarter stash and our “quilted stories” liaison and so much more. She inspires us all to go beyond our simple job descriptions and make things better. She always thinks of others and encourages the rest of us to do the same. The CVQG congratulates Elliott for being a “Cut Above.”
