Sheriff ’s Report
SATURDAY, JUNE 1
At approximately 1:32 p.m., deputy Cantu and Ryan Thomas were dispatched to a civil dispute located at the 2000 block of Niles Street, Rock Island. After further investigation, a criminal trespass warning was issued. Case cleared.
At approximately 3:27 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the Sheridan area in reference to shots being fired. After further investigation, Connie Robinson, age 58, of Sheridan, Tx, was arrested for Deadly Conduct - Misdemeanor “A”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 7:01 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 200 block of Braden Street, Garwood, Tx, in reference to an assault. After further investigation, JaJuan Schreck, age 25, of Garwood, was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury - Class “A” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
SUNDAY, JUNE 2
At approximately 12:19 a.m., deputy Blaha was dispatched to the 1000 Block of Columbus Street, Altair, Tx, in reference to a domestic dispute. After further investigation, Erik Martinez, age 31, of Altair, was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury - Family Member - Class “A” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
MONDAY, JUNE 3
At approximately 3:00 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to the area of the Interstate 10 South Feeder near Mile Marker 706 in Bernardo, Tx, in reference to criminal mischief. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case inactive.
TUESDAY, JUNE 4
At approximately 7:22 p.m., deputy Byars was dispatched to the Rest Area Westbound on IH-10, Glidden, Tx, in reference to an indecent exposure. After further investigation, information was received and it was determined there was no surveillance footage of a possible suspect. Case inactive.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5
At approximately 8:25 p.m., deputy Thomas while patrolling near the 2200 block of Hwy 90A, Rock Island, Tx, observed an abandoned vehicle parked on the shoulder. After further investigation, the vehicle was removed from the roadway by a wrecker company and entered into TCIC/NCIC as stored/ abandoned. Case cleared.
At approximately 9:29 p.m., deputy Ramirez while patrolling near Business 71 and Hwy 71 bypass in Columbus, Tx, he checked on a vehicle parked on the side of the roadway. After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was listed as a missing person and was released to a family member. Case cleared.
THURSDAY, JUNE 6
At approximately 9:50 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 1200 block of CR 2103, Weimar, Tx, in reference to a welfare check of animals living conditions. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
FRIDAY, JUNE 7
At approximately 10:01 p.m., deputy Byars conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on IH-10 Westbound near Glidden, Tx. After further investigation, Raiden Kuykendall, age 19, of Hitchcock, Tx, was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 2 >4G<400G - Felony 2. Case cleared by adult arrest.
SATURDAY, JUNE 8
At approximately 6:06 p.m., deputy Villanueva was dispatched to the 1000 block of Joshua Lane near Columbus, Tx, in reference to a burglary. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
MONDAY, JUNE 10
At approximately 1:24 p.m., deputy Mican was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office Lobby to speak with a subject who resides on Pinehurst Drive, New Ulm, Tx, whose identity was stolen. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case cleared information only.
At approximately 7:52 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 2000 block of Walnut Street, Columbus, Tx, in reference to an assault and fraud that occurred in the Weimar, Tx area. It was later determined the assault had occurred in Weimar City Limits and was reported in their jurisdiction. Information was gathered on the Fraudulent complaint to generate a report. Case inactive.
At approximately 7:49 p.m., deputy Blaha was dispatched to the 8000 block of Highway 71 S in Garwood, Tx, in reference to a structure fire. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken, no foul play was expected. Case cleared.
At approximately 9:49 p.m., deputy Blaha was dispatched to the 4600 block of Highway 90A near Altair, Tx, in reference to an intoxicated Subject. After further investigation, Jenna Power, age 38, of Houston, Tx was arrested for Public Intoxication - Misdemeanor “C”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
TUESDAY, JUNE 11
At approximately 9:46 a.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 2600 block of FM 3013, Eagle Lake, Tx, in reference to public indecency. After further investigation, the male was transported by Colorado County EMS to Rice Medical Center for unknown health reasons. Case cleared.
At approximately 5:25 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 6000 block of Hwy 71 S, Garwood, Tx, in reference to a theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case inactive.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12
At approximately 1:23 p.m., deputy Ohl arrived at the 3400 block of County Road 106, Rock Island, Tx, in reference to a wanted subject. After further investigation, Brandon Beaulieu, age 51, of Rock Island, was arrested on a local felony warrant and Possession of Controlled Substance PG 2 >4G<400G - Felony 2. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 2:51 p.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the Columbus Community Hospital in reference to a dog bite that occurred in Glidden, Tx. After further investigation, the quarantine process and vaccination were completed. Case cleared.
At approximately 5:22 a.m., deputy Villanueva was dispatched to a public service in reference to fraud at the 6700 block of Hwy 90, Sealy, Tx. information was gathered and a report was taken. Case active.
THURSDAY, JUNE 13
At approximately 8:32 a.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 3300 block of FM 102, Eagle Lake, Tx, in reference to Theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case information only.
FRIDAY, JUNE 14
At approximately 9:08 a.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to harassment that occurred at a residence on Dietrich Lane, Bernardo, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
SATURDAY, JUNE 15 At approximately 4:16 p.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched in reference to a burglary of a motorhome, located in the 7000 block of Hwy 71, Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and no items with evidentiary value were recovered on scene. Case inactive.
At approximately 6:00 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the Westbound Rest Area on IH-10 near Columbus, Tx, in reference to criminal mischief. After further investigation, Benjamin Cagle, age 27, of Bryson, North Carolina, was arrested for Criminal Mischief >=$100<$750 - Misdemeanor “B”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 7:01 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 1000 block of Hwy 90 A, Sheridan, Tx in reference to a theft of an electric bike. After further investigation, information was received and no suspect has been identified at this time. Case inactive.
SUNDAY, JUNE 16
At approximately 7:21 deputy Frey was dispatched to the 1500 block of CR 151 in Columbus, Tx, in reference to a structure fire. After further investigation, it was determined the fire was not intentionally started. Case cleared.
MONDAY, JUNE 17
At approximately 9:34 a.m., deputy Wiese was dispatched to a business in the 500 block of Austin Street, Eagle Lake, Tx in reference to a theft. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., deputy Moulder was notified of a theft that occurred at the 1200 block of Henneke Road, Bernardo, Tx. After further investigation, a warrant was issued in reference to this case and Joseph Winston, age 39, of Dallas, Tx, was arrested for Theft of Property >$30k<$150k - Felony 3. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., deputy Melendez was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office to meet with a complainant in reference to credit card abuse which occurred in the 6700 block of Highway 90. On arrival, he met with the complainant and obtained information to generate a report. The case is active.
TUESDAY, JUNE 18
At approximately 3:46 p.m., deputy Ohl was dispatched to a business in the 6700 block of US-90, Sealy, Tx, in reference to a theft. After further investigation, it was determined no theft occurred within our jurisdiction. Case cleared.
At approximately 10:39 p.m., deputy Byars, while patrolling Hwy 90 near Borden, Tx, observed a suspicious vehicle parked at Borden Lake. After further investigation, an individual was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Class “C” Misdemeanor and released on scene. Case cleared by citation.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19
At approximately 1:59 a.m., deputy Byars conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of IH-10 frontage road and FM 949, Alleyton, Tx. After further investigation, Kari Renee Rand, age 32, of Tomball, Tx, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions - Class “B” Misdemeanor and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 <1G - State Jail Felony. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., deputy Byars, while performing an independent contracting job, was involved in a fleet. After further investigation, a crash report was completed by a partnering agency. Case information only.
THURSDAY, JUNE 20
At approximately 5:17 a.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 2000 block of Walnut Street, Columbus, Tx in reference to found property from a business in Alleyton, Tx. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
At approximately 1:52 p.m., deputy Thomas was dispatched to the 6700 block of US 90, Sealy, Tx, in reference to skimmers found inside fuel pumps. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
