The annual Eagle Lake Wild Festival transformed downtown Eagle Lake this past Saturday, Sept. 28, into a daylong entertainment haven.
A 5K fun run and walk kicked things off that morning at 7:30 a.m. and signified what was to come for the rest of the morning, afternoon and evening.
Attendees had the pick of the bunch throughout the day from a variety of different activities, from bouncy houses and interactive games for kids, an escape room, a car show sponsored by the Eagle Lake Police Department, a free to enter biergarten for Oktoberfest, an escape room, food trucks, live music, decoy chunking, cornhole, a scavenger hunt, multiple cook-offs and much, much more.
Vendors were also given the opportunity to set up shop on the streets and inside the chamber building alongside everything else the festival had to offer.
A traditional Mexican cultural dance, Danza Guadalupana, was performed throughout the streets, enamoring the crowd with bright, festive colors, unique cultural clothing and vibrant dances.
Shops throughout downtown also remained open throughout the festival, giving attendees the opportunity to go around and spend their money supporting businesses in Eagle Lake.
