The September Community Beautification Award was given to Samantha and Greg Glueck of Against the Grain located on 1136 Milam St. With the building being owned by Lollie and Tom Raetzsch, Lollie has kept the oversized hanging baskets dripping in pink flowers lovingly tended and drawing attention, despite the heat and lack of rain. The Glueck’s’ placed cheerful bright red chairs out front to invite everyone to relax and watch what is happening on the square.
