CONNECTIONS TO THE COUNTY
Ally Tribe is starting to breakout and become a key piece to the UTSA Roadrunners volleyball team.
Tribe has continued to rack up kills and blocks like her time in Columbus and already received recognition for it.
Most recently she was added to the Roadrunner Classic All-Tournament team along with her teammate Caroline Krueger. This comes after she helped her team to a 2-1 record in the Roadrunner Classic.
UTSA played against Central Arkansas, Alabama and Sam Houston with the only loss coming at the hands of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Tribe was held out of the first game but came back against Alabama to record 16 kills in a fiveset loss.
She then followed that performance up with 22 kills and five blocks against Sam Houston in a five-set win. This game was also Daddy Daughter Day for UTSA, so Tribe was able to ball out in front of one of her biggest fans, her dad.
Tribe’s performance was praised after the game, earning the honor of being named the Hero of the Game.
Things are leaning in Tribe’s favor and to cap it all off she celebrated her birthday on Sunday, Sept. 15, ending a weekend full of excitement.
