Seed Library to host free herb and tomato propagation event Oct. 5

The Sprout to Share Free Seed Library will host a demonstration of how to grow new herb and tomato plants from cuttings. Never buy transplants again! No more slow germinating seeds! Beginner gardeners welcome! Free to all.

Bluebonnet Master Gardener, Ali Blake, will demonstrate how to select cuttings from herb and tomato plants and how to root in water and in soil. She will share tips to boost your success! The event will be educational and fun with DOOR PRIZES and lots of chatting with fellow gardeners!

Event Details: Saturday, October 5, 2024, 10:30-11:30am inside Create Space Studio, 717 Walnut St, Columbus, TX 78934. You must register to attend by completing this online form, https:// tinyurl. com/ 10-5- event or visit the Seed Library to put your name on the sign-up sheet.

The seed library is full of seeds and open Tuesday- Friday, 10a-5p and Saturday 10a-3p. Come by to check out up to 4 types of seeds daily. No library card or any official documentation is needed. Seed borrowers are encouraged to grow their seeds and enjoy the produce, sharing it with family and friends, then saving seeds from a small part of the produce to return to the library for the community’s future gardening needs.
