SAS SAINTLY NEWS

Last Friday, St. Anthony School celebrated Grandparent’s Day in grand fashion. Grandparents were invited to the weekly Children’s Mass and sat with their grandchildren in what ended up being a full church! After Mass, SAS students lined the sidewalks around the block as they drove by in a Grandparent Parade full of decorated vehicles. The honks and cheers of over 90 SAS families were heard throughout the neighborhood.

SAS is thankful for all grandparents involved in school activities by volunteering, attending sporting events, supporting fundraisers, or helping parents by taking kids to dentist appointments or lessons after school. St. Anthony all the contributions and celebrates all who give.

Today the SAS Cross country team heads to Navasota for a meet at August Horst Park starting at 4pm. Monday, 9/16, the Lady Saints volleyball teams will play at home vs. St. Philip beginning at 5pm.

This Friday, 9/13 is a school holiday due to the Colorado County Fair. Tomorrow, SAS 1st and 2nd graders will attend Kids Day at the Fair, exploring the Ag Tent and other activities.

The Columbus KC Chicken Fried Pork Steak meal tickets are still available from any SAS student or the school office. Advance only tickets are $13.00 each.

Mark your calendars! SAS will hold the Ignatius Book Fair from 9/21-9/26 in the school library.

SAS welcomes all to attend Children’s Mass on Fridays at 8:15.

“Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their parents.”
