Weimar Police Department promote two senior officers

On Wednesday, Sept. 4th, Weimar Police Chief Mark Jameson had the honor of promoting two senior officers to corporals, Corporal Jason Ellis and Corporal Frank Maier.

Corporal Ellis joined the department earlier in February with six plus years of experience, while Corporal Maier joined earlier in April with ten years of experience.

The ceremony was conducted in the council chambers at City Hall and included the officers’ families, friends and department heads from the City of Weimar.

Officers’ families were invited to a reception following the ceremony, where they enjoyed a delicious meal catered by WPD Administration and Rodeo Grill.

Weimar PD thanked Makayla at Diamond W Sweets for the special cookie cake to celebrate their new corporals.
