SAS SAINTLY NEWS

Recently, students in grades 5 through 8 have been participating in Renaissance Star Assessments in the SAS computer lab. These benchmark tests are used as screening tools that help teachers identify student needs and track their progress. This allows for realistic goal setting, making sure students continue on a path to success. This test is not the same as the state’s STAAR test (which measures if students are ready for the next grade based on core curriculum scores).

Lady Saints Volleyball will take on Sacred Heart in Hallettsville September 5. The SAS Cross country team will head to Victoria on September 7 for a meet hosted by St. Joseph.

The $13 tickets are only sold in advance and are available from any SAS student or the school office. In addition, the Catholic Daughters will have dessert items available in the drive thru. The proceeds will benefit St. Anthony School Special Projects.
